US sports

Games in the United States are played overnight in New Zealand time, which suits a punter who checks a phone before work. This section covers how those leagues reach a New Zealand bettor.

Basketball and the NBA, the NFL with the Super Bowl, then baseball, MLB, hockey and the NHL. Spreads and totals, the characteristic American markets, are shown in decimal odds here.

The ban on offering bets to people in New Zealand takes in events held overseas as much as local ones, so a Super Bowl is no exception. TAB NZ stays the sole lawful provider, and no offshore operator is licensed.
